Beauty comes in All Sizes!!! Curves Ahead: Photographer Sølve Sundsbø

As a culture I feel that we have grown so accustom to a certain standard of beauty; that when a different version of beauty comes along we so often don't even notice it. In every magazine all we see are the tall super (skinny) models and we accept that as what it is to be beautiful. When the truth is that's the furthest thing from the truth! When I came across these images I loved them right away. Not only do they show that beauty is not only limited to a size double 0-4 but, they also show me that true beauty comes in all sizes.

I Love Japan> Artist: Kim, Duck-Yong

I've never believed that ideas actually come from us but, rather thru us. It's funny how we can think of an idea, and then months or even days later someone else comes up with a similar idea. When I saw Kim, Duck-Yong's work I fell in love with it. Not only because of the simplicity but, more so for the fact it looked ten times better then a similar idea I once had. Seeing his work taught me that when an idea rest on you for a moment you should run with it. And other times you should just let it go and let someone else do the running!

A is for Awesome! The Noir A-Z: Photographer Julian Hibbard

It's been a little more then a year since I visited my friend Julian at his home in NYC. I remember him telling me that he wanted me to see something that would explain what his years of shooting were leading up to. He pulled out a velvet maroon bag that contained I hand made book filled with his images; and beside them one of every alphabet and word to describe each image. I was amazed when I saw what he had created and surprised when he told me he had yet to find anyone to publish it. Fast forward a year later and The Noir A-Z has been published and getting great reviews. It's funny how the universe will never give someone such an amazing gift with out the ability to share it with the world. Your vision is a true gift Jules! Thank you for sharing with me and the world!
